With the opening of our new portraiture shooting area, we've been adding some new services to our lineup. Having the ability to shoot right here on site, with a variety of sets, along with the controlled lighting allows us to do some truly artistic work for our clients and their families.
It was inevitable that many of our past wedding clients would be returning for maternity shots, and newborn sessions given the fact that around 45% of our couples from the past two wedding seasons have conceived their first child with the first year of marraiage. The maternity shots are a great way to catch that special moment in time while carrying your child. In general, we like to shoot these late term, in the 8th or 9th month when the "belly factor" is at its peak. Both mom and dad will be in the series of pics, and is a lot of fun for the expecting couple. While we have been doing maternity shots for over a year, we plan on expanding this line with the new space now being functional.
Of course shortly thereafter comes baby! There is something magical about a newborn, and doing a portrait session with the new parents. Of course you have to be prepared...especially with little boys as they have a better aim and range!
