A week of reflection...
Its been a very sad week for the State of Virginia, and the Nation for that matter. The senseless tragedy at VT is another reminder of how quickly life can be taken away, and how important it is to value your friends, family members, and loved ones. Events like this always make us reflect on our own lives, and what's really important.
We personally were fortunate...none of our friends, clients, or family members were involved in the tragedy. Even though that is the case, we still feel this loss as Virginians, as Americans and mourn the loss of so many young lives lost. Many, many others will be affected by this horrible time for years to come. Families that have been torn apart, Weddings that now will never happen, children, grandchildren that will never be. Its has a far reaching effect.
We as a community need to continue to offer our prayers and support for all those who were touched by this tragedy. And in our time of reflection, be sure to tell those close to you that you love them, and keep all of those you care about close to you. Call the friends who you may not have talked to for years, attend the wedding of the cousin who you may not have known as well as you should. Life really is a precious gift, and we should treat it that way. But more importantly, friends, family, and loves ones are an even bigger gift. Be sure to let them know.
